Our Nursery class, Caterpillars is led by Mrs Enderson and she is supported by Miss Maxam, Miss Mac and Ms Devine. Please see below for a range of photographs to show the learning adventures of Caterpillars Nursery in 2020 - 2021.

We were curious about the frost.

Exploring and painting the ice.

We have been singing our favourite nursery rhymes.

Bird watching

We found some natural materials linked to 'Going on a Bear Hunt.'

We talked about what we found.

We made a 'Going on a bear hunt collage'.

We looked closely at signs of spring.

We enjoyed dressing up for Red Nose Day.

Science week - How do we use a camera?

We made a rocket car.

How does a spinning top work?

We made a volcano -

and did an experiment to see if it would erupt!

Easter celebrations

We decorated a cross with flowers for Easter.

We collected flowers.

We used the flowers to decorate our eggs.

Handa's Surprise

We tried to balance a basket on our heads like Handa.

We tasted lots of yummy fruits, thanks to Waitrose,Okehampton.

We learnt about new fruits, and the animals who took them!

Being healthy

We have been learning about where our food comes from.

How the farmers grow food on their farms.

Helping to clean the dinosaurs, including their teeth.

We have been learning about foods that are good and bad for our teeth.

It is important to clean our teeth to keep them healthy..

We have been learning about how we can weight things.

And how to measure ourselves and things in the environment.

We like to share.

We talked about our feelings and made our own colour monster.

We enjoy a bit of quiet time to sit and share books.

We created a garden centre.

Planting flowers and seeds.

We explored different textures and described how they feel.

We have found minibeasts.

Our beans have started to grow.

We made sandwiches for our picnic.

We explored different textures from the beach.

Singing our favourite songs on stage together.
