Show the children the video:

 Summarise for them:
- Weather is what is happening outside each day - is it rainy/sunny? hot/cold? windy/cloudy? etc.
-Climate is what the weather is like for a long time. It shows different patterns of the weather throughout the year like the seasons. 

 

Give the children a copy of the blank map below and play them this song:

Can the children colour in the different climate zones? Can they remember any names of the 7 continents and 5 oceans to label on their map as well?
