Introducing verbs.

Verbs explain an action that someone or something is doing. For example, ‘The children sit on the carpet’ The children are the something and they are sitting on the carpet. ‘I read my book’ I am the something and I am reading my book.
Think about what you did at the weekend. Can you write down a couple of sentences that say what you did at the weekend?
With a green pencil, circle the something/someone in your sentence. Who is the one doing the thing?
With a blue pencil, circle the verb. What did the person/object do?
