Pupil Premium is additional funding allocated to schools in England in order to raise the attainment of disadvantaged children of all abilities in order for them to reach their full potential. There is also funding to support children with parents in the Armed Forces, children who are Looked After and Children who have been Adopted from Care.
St James Church of England Primary and Nursery School have developed ways to use this money in order to improve outcomes and opportunities for children. Please see the reports below to show our Pupil Premium expenditure since opening.
It is important to note that all children in Foundation, Years 1 and 2 are eligible for Universal Infant Free School Meals; however parents must register for Free School Meals to become eligible for the Pupil Premium funding. If eligible, the funding remains in place for the following six years so it can have a big impact on the school and its pupils. Parents who may be eligible are advised to contact Devon County Council on: 0345 155 1019 to check eligibility.
