Recapping the suffixes -ing, -ed,  -er and -est

Go through the Powerpoint to remind children what a suffix is and how it is used.

Complete the first sheet looking at the suffixes -er and -est when making comparisons.

Watch video input and explain to the children that sometimes the suffix -er and be used to describe what someone does for a job i.e.

Build – builder = someone who builds something as a job

Teach – teacher = someone who teaches people

Bank – banker = someone who works at a bank, dealing with money
